The Show

The show structure.

FreeART implement a classic show structure:

Scene – sequence – cue – cue list.

The scene is a state of DMX channels.
The sequence is a sequence of scenes.
The cue is a set of sequences, which are played together.
The cue list is a sequence of a cue or sequences.

Sequence parameters.

Synchronization of sequences:

All types of synchronization may be used together.

Timing modes:

Other parameters

Cue.

Cue is a set of sequences, which are played together in the same time. Amount of sequences in the cue is unlimited. Priority of sequences in the cue is defined by a rule – the sequence with less number have a bigger priority. The parameters of sequences in the cue may be redefined in design or real time.

Cue List.

Cue list is a set of cues and (or) sequences which a played consecutively. Each item of cue list can be started in at used defined time.

Currently supported synchronization sources:

After finishing cue list can initialize playing of any other sequence, cue or cue list.

Live Show performing
gline.jpg (722 bytes)

FreeART realize a special engine oriented on live show performing. The basis of show performing is the commands, which are received from mouse, PC keyboard or MIDI. Also MIDI commands maybe transmitted through COM port, IPX or TCP/IP.

FreeART have four levels of execution.

Each level can execute one or more sequences or cues.

Flash-Lock level.

Flash-Lock is placed on high level of priority. There are two kinds of items on Flash-lock level.

  1. Flash – execution is started when the key is pressed, and finished when the key is released.
  2. Lock – first key pressing – start, second – stop, etc.

Direct Access level.

Direct Access level is used for a fast editing of state of devices in show performing time.

Editor level.

This level includes sequences, which are placed in editor. Editor can open more then one sequence, cue or cue list, but only one can be executed at the same time. There is a possibility of parameters editing during a show.

Cue level.

Cue level can execute up to 16 sequences or cues at the same time.

Resume: User have a potentialities of using 2048 sequences where up to 16 can be played at cue-level, one in editor and unlimited amount in flash-lock level. Direct access to state of devices is enabled also.

Priority of levels.

FreeART allow to retune a priority of levels in any order.

MIDI

Notes.

FreeART support all 128 notes at all 16 channels. Each note can run a sequence at cue or flash-lock levels or execute one of predefined commands.

MIDI redirection and muting.

FreeART allow to redirect any note to any other combination note/channel. Any of 16 channels may be disabled.

MIDI Echo.

All received MIDI In events may be redirected to defined MIDI Out device.
